WAXING

What kind of wax do you use?

FLIRT uses hot or shall we say warm wax. Reasons why we love this type of wax? The wax gets a better grip of the hair; better at removing coarse hairs; it does not leave a sticky residue; it is better at removing shorter hairs; there is much less reddening of the skin; better for sensitive skin. 

Do you have a certain technique in waxing?

FLIRT uses a roll on wax technique for big areas such as legs, arms, chest and back. Roll On waxing means no drips, no mistakes, no burns. Wax applied at just the right temperature and thickness for perfect results every time, leaving skin smoother, softer and hair-free for up to 6 weeks.

For sensitive areas such as your face, underarm and for bikini/Brazilian we use hard wax. This type of wax gives us more control when putting it on.

How long will the session take?

It varies per area and how much hair you have. But here’s the average time per session:

How long does it last before hair starts to grow?

NOTE: It's different for everyone though, but it grows back much softer and not as thick. Again, this can vary

How long should my hair be before we can wax it?

You will need ¼” hair growth for the wax to hole onto, no more – no less. That’s at least 3 weeks worth of hair growth.

Does waxing hurt? We would be lying if we say it didn’t but the pain is bearable. The first time is always the hardest but with constant waxing, our hair would be thinner and easier to pull hence, less painful.  Remember: PAIN IS BEAUTY!

Any Pre Waxing Tips?

If your pain threshold is very low take any pain reliever 30-45 minutes before your appointment.

Breathing is key. Control your breathing in order to minimize the discomfort. Inhale when the wax is applied and exhale when the wax is being pulled off!

Our skin tends to be more sensitive during our period, therefore the hair removal process can even be more unpleasant. In order to prevent the great pain of waxing it is highly advisable to plan the waxing ritual after these significant days.

When getting a bikini/brazilian, exfoliate a day before your waxing appointment to remove dead skin cells. This way the wax would be able to grab the hair at the proper place without causing any difficulties to remove it.

Don't drink a lot of caffeine or alcohol. While having a couple glass of wine or beer before getting waxed sounds like a great idea, stimulants in the system can cause skin to be extra sensitive to waxing. Give yourself a couple hours after drinking coffee or alcohol before getting waxed. Instead, drink a lot of water to hydrate your body and skin.

CLEANLINESS. Please shower or wash your bikini area before your appointment using warm, not hot water. Make sure you’re extra clean.

Don’t use any lotions before your waxing session so the wax can adhere better to your skin.

Any Post Waxing Tips?

Avoid getting wet. Pores are still open after your waxing session so give it 6-8 hours before washing or taking a bath.

Hands off. Keep hands away from touching freshly waxed skin, as this can encourage irritation or small pimples.

Avoid wearing tight clothing over freshly waxed areas to minimize the risk of irritation and ingrown hairs.

24-48 hours after hair removal waxing, exfoliate the skin (with a Loofa sponge for example) to prevent the dead skin from accumulating and causing hair ingrown.

Short-term abstinence. Sexual activity should be avoided for at least 24-48 hours.

No tanning beds, saunas or steam rooms. No sunbathing for at least 24hours

Routine waxing helps the skin get accustomed to the procedure and may minimize irritation.

Does your Basic Pedicure have polish already?

 Yes.  We have variety of colors to choose from.

What brands do you use?

We have a mix of ORLY, CHINA GLAZE, REVLON and other Korean and Local Brands.

Do you charge extra for branded nail polish? Yes. You'll be charge P30 if you want yo upgrade your polish to ORLY, CHINA GLAZE or REVLON.

Does your Foot Spa have pedicure already? No. We have a PEDISPA service which includes Foot Spa and Pedicure.

What is included in a HAND SPA service?

Our Relaxing Jasmine Hand Spa includes cleansing, exfoliation, hand mask, and massage. This variant exudes both sensuality and tranquility. Starting with a hand emollient bath to help soften the cuticles and harden nails. Then scrub off outer skin, revealing new skin underneath. Hands are then masked, a skin conditioning treatment that soothes dry, cracked and chapped hands. We end it with a 5-minute massage with Jasmine lotion. (3 mins. cleanse, 10 mins. exfoliate, 10 mins. whitening mask, 10 (5min/arm) mins massage w/oil, apply 2 mins. lotion)

What is included in a FOOT SPA service?

1. 3 Minutes CLEANSE. Feet will be soaked in a basin with warm water to rinse and soften the skin

2. 10 Minute BUFF. Remove callus by using filing the feet.

3. 10 Minutes EXFOLIATE. Apply foot scrub and massage gently to exfoliate rough outer skin.

4. 10 Minutes MASSAGE with GEL COOLER.  (+5 minutes for Flirt Foot Spa) To massage the feet and legs, apply the foot and gel cooler. This will add ease and promote relaxation during the massage especially with its cooling and refreshing properties.

5. 15 Minutes WHITENING MASK. (Flirt Foot Spa, Special add Php50) Apply whitening mask over the entire foot (without covering the nails). Let it dry for 15 minutes. Rinse off with warm water. This will provide deep-cleansing and to give skin an instant lift.

6. 5 Minutes LOTION. Apply lotion generously to flood skin with moisture, leaving it soft and supple.

7. 2 Minutes FOOT BLUSH. Finish off with an anti-bacterial foot blush to leave feet totally rejuvenated!

What is a FLIRT SIGNATURE HAND CARE?

This is a combination of manicure, hand spa and paraffin dip.

What is a FLIRT SIGNATURE FOOT CARE?

Our signature treatment will make your feet say “ohhhhh” and “ahhhh”! Enjoy a 2-hour worth of luxurious foot pampering. This treatment is an upgraded Flirt Foot Spa with an added paraffin bath for an intense moisturizing experience plus a 15-minute stimulating foot and leg massage. Get ready for a blissful escape! This includes a pedicure, foot spa, paraffin dip, whitening mask and massage.

What is a paraffin dip?

PARAFFIN DIP treatment is created especially for dry, chapped skin. We will dip your hands/feet in warm wax for 3 times. We then wrap it with plastic and paraffin mittens for 20 minutes to keep the heat inside. This will make your hands/feet extremely nourished and moisturized. This is excellent in soothing joints and muscle pain.

EYELASH EXTENSIONS

What’s the difference between natural, sassy and divine?

The NATURAL extension is great for framing your eye. We will drop 50-60 lashes per eye. They are directly applied to existing eyelashes for added volume and length. This look will take approximately 1 hour.

The SASSY extension is our favorite—a light and fluttery look… still subtle yet with a bit of sassiness. We will put 61-75 lashes per eye which will definitely make your lashes fuller. A mix of natural and synthetic single strand lashes are placed to give your eyes that mascara effect. Friends will notice something different but usually unable to pinpoint it. This look will take approximately 1.5 hours.

The DIVINE extension is the most noticeable type and provides a flirtatiously fake appearance. We will put 76-100 lashes per eye. These lashes look great on film. Make-up artists and photographers love seeing these lashes on their clients. If you’re a dancer or a performer these are the lashes for you. Add make-up and your eyes will completely pop. These lashes are also a favorite of brides as they still provide an elegant and natural look but more luscious and dramatic.  This look will take approximately 2.0 hours.

How long will a set of Eyelash Extensions Last?

When applied properly, eyelash extensions will last the length of the natural growth cycle of your eyelashes. Everyone's experience will differ based on day to day activities but with proper maintenance this could last 4-6 weeks. Touch ups should only be required every 2 to 3 weeks (for half the price).

Any AFTER CARE tips?

·         Do not get your lashes wet for 12- 24 hours.

·         Avoid hot steam or sauna.

·         Avoid running water directly on your lashes.

·         Avoid using any oil-based products on the eyelash extensions.

·         Do not perm or tint your lashes before or after lash extension application.

·         Do not use a regular eyelash curler to curl your eyelash extensions; heated eyelash curlers are fine.

·         Do not rub your eyes or lashes when washing your face.  Clean around the face with a wash cloth.

·         Do not pull your your eyelash extensions since this will pull out your natural lashes.

·         Mascara is not advised while wearing eyelash extensions.

·         Do not try to remove the eyelash extensions on your own.

·         Cutting the eyelash extensions is not advised, since you may cut your own lashes.

·         Clean your eye make-up carefully, avoiding the extensions as much as possible.
